Recently dropped off our car for a diagnostic at HiQ and was very shocked at how appalling the service was. First time we dropped off our car at HiQ was around mid July, at the time agreed on the phone a day before, but was told he was too busy and asked us to come back. So came back the second day finally had someone looking into the car and was told they need time to look into the faulty code and will call us back. We also told them that we had a warranty and asked if they could summit the report to the warranty provider when it is ready. As you may have guessed from the two stars, things didn’t go smooth at all. They never called until we started calling them almost everyday to ask what happened with the car, they finally looked into the faulty code and asked us to take our car back for a detailed check after almost 5days plus numerous calls. again that process took almost a week and half also after numerous calls chasing them. By then the whole process from initial diagnostic to submitting the report to the warranty provider already took 3 weeks. The story hasn’t ended, week 4, for the first time they called us back after we called several
times asking them the outcome of the claim, and they kept telling us the person did our car was out you need to wait for him to come back (but the fact was that the boss actually knew everything, because when we were talking to this so called employee who were responsible for diagnosing our car we can hear the boss at the background teaching him what to say) to tell us that the claim was rejected we asked why they said the provider did not give a reason. We called the warranty provider and was told that they clearly gave the reason to the HiQ on why the claim was rejected. I guess they just didn’t bother to tell us. And we called back and asked if they could send us the diagnostic report and a quote to change the cam belt, as we didn’t mind paying we just want to fix the car. Called at least 3 times, and now nearly one month and half passed since the first time we dropped off our car,
we also moved out of the area we still haven’t received anything from HiQ. So we still don’t know what’s wrong with our car. I hope you can sleep well in the evening because of your service quality and delay could lead to a car accident which could be between life and death. I would have given a one star but at least he still picked up our calls..
I thought it's worth putting in a review so others can be careful. I have used this garage in the past and was pleased with them but recently something has changed. I took my car in via my AA care service for a full service and MOT. My car was picked up from my house with no issues and was told it will be dropped off before 5pm. Around 4.30pm I received a phone-call informing me that my break lights was flashing on the dashboard at pick up and if i wanted them to investigate and fix. I had used the car to drop my son in the morning and no lights were flashing. No-one mentioned to me at pick up about any lights and all the time they had the car that was not mentioned until it was to be returned. I called AA to make sure the garage does not return my car with any issues. After AA spoke to them about the car my next phone call was to arrange drop off with no mention of any break light issues. I think this was made up to get money out of me thinking I would just go with it. Something is off about this garage and I've noticed bad reviews over the last year so be careful and double check everything if you do decide to use their services.
I've used HiQ on a couple of occasions now for various issues, servicing, mot, alternator etc and I can honestly say their customer service is second to none, always friendly, informative and happy to help. My vehicle was seen to/repaired quickly and prices are always fair. Antonio and his team will always make you feel welcome and I will continue to use them for any issues with my vehicles. Date is 10th November 2023 at 12:20pm on A406 near Walthamstow. A young driver in his 20s, reg LX17 JLC, last 3 letters may be wrong as I couldn't see properly because he was tailgating me the whole time. This driver needs to be taught the safe distance rule and not put himself or other drivers in danger. Very unprofessional and gives the company a bad reputation

I had to take 2 stars off because the communication beforehand was really frustrating, just a few words as answers and had to chase them for the right service to be done in my car.
They also wanted to charge me more, they quoted me £180 but then they wanted to charge me £200, that's just straight up fraud. As soon as I started saying the previous quote they rectified as if they were waiting for me to say so.
It's also very difficult to find, it doesn't appear in the right place in google maps and spent a good amout of time trying to find it.
Go to Halfords, they are cheaper and with a much better service.
I know about them because fixter used them for my m.o.t it failed...fixter tried charging £650 for the repairs...when I went to collect my car...the very nice man at the desk, asked me for 2 minutes he wanted to give me a quote...long story …
